Brigid's The One and Only Ganaching ROUND Kit 6 Inch

This round Ganaching Kit is a new innovative way of ganaching your sponge cake with ease. You will be able to achieve a smooth and symmetrical ganached cake with less mess, less time, and no fuss, regardless of your skill level. 

The Kit comes with -

  • A height guided Liner, all Liners are 7 inches high
  • A nonstick reusable disc to line the bottom of your tin
  • A clip to secure the overlap of the liner
  • A ganache squeeze bottle
  • A food-grade Foam Spacer to give you the correct thickness of the ganache

Each Liner is Reusable, made from Food Grade Plastic, and is Recyclable.

Useful Tips

  • Bake the day before and let rest or a frozen cake would work perfectly as well.
  • Fold the end of the liner in on itself at the ends, helps to give the round shape at overlap (only applies to new liners )
  • Ganache made from 35% - 50% dark chocolate 
  • Set overnight in the fridge 
  • When taken out of fridge peel liner straight away 
  • Gentle taps along the way so no gaps
  • If using a stacked cake finish the process with a cake card.
  • When making the ganache use fresh cream *(single or double) not whipping cream (we got whipping cream and ganache split)

Ratios of chocolate to cream/water for Ganache

Dark Chocolate - 2:1, Milk Chocolate - 3:1, White Chocolate - 4:1, White Chocolate Water Ganache - 6:1 Warm water
 
6" round 6" high cake use 1kg choc to 500ml cream, if any is left over just leave in the container to refrigerate to use again at a later date.

Ingredients

550g Dark and Milk Chocolate

454g Butter

454g Golden Syrup

360g Combination of Digestives, Rich Tea and Gingernut biscuits

300g Maltesers

Method

1. Place chocolate, butter, and golden syrup into a large bowl, place on a pan of water (Bain Marie) melt on a low heat until everything is melted. Make sure all the ingredients are melted, smooth, and fluid.

2. Take your bowl off the heat, then add all the ingredients one at a time, mix in till all incorporated, add maltesters last.

3. Pop on a pair of food gloves, place the mixture into the tin, pushing down until it's all compact, nice and tight.

4. Place in the fridge overnight to set.

Ladies so many of you have contacted me and purchased this amazing bit of kit, I can't wait to show you it properly, I have done various Facebook Lives to show you how to use it with Buttercream, Swiss meringue buttercream, and ganache. Let's clear up some questions now though.
 
Q1: Can you use it for buttercream? Ans: Yes
 
Q2: Can you use it for Swiss Meringue Buttercream? Ans: Yes
 
Q3: Can you use it for Ganache? Ans: Yes
 
Q4: What are the sizes with a 0 in front of the number? This was to enable me to list them in size order on the website, otherwise, it would have gone 10-12 the 4-9, if I put a 0 in front, it puts them all in size order.
 
Q5: Do I need to cut my cake? The answer is yes and no, 
if you buy a size 9 inch then use an 8 inch cake or cut down a 9 inch to an 8 inch cake. You only need to use the foam for Ganashing, therefore, saving on chocolate.
 
Q6: Do the Kits fit multiple-size tins? Ans: Yes they do, I haven't had time to test them all, I have a size 9 here, which will do a size 9 and 8 easily, maybe a 10 I just need to test it for a 10. Therefore each size should be able to do at least two sizes.
 
Q7: Why is another company with a similar product getting so upset about this product? Ans: No idea as both products are completely different in look and design, therefore they are not the same nor do they infringe on each other.
 
Q8: How did Brigid's Ganaching kit come about? ANS: I did my research when I was asked to stock this kit 14 days ago, I went through Brigid's Facebook page and found Brigid has been using her liner for Chocolate biscuit cake since 2018 and longer, she found she could also use it to ganache cakes, hence the Ganaching Liner was born.
 
Q9: Am I buying a copy product if I buy either of the brand's ganaching kits? Ans: Absolutely NOT, both kits are completely different, both achieve the exact same results. It does not matter who has a patent, they are both completely different kits achieving the same results. It like sugarpaste - different brands achieving the same results. It's all about personal choice.
 
Q10: How many sizes are there? Ans: For the round sets there are 8 from 5- 12 inches.
 
Q11: Is there a Square set? Ans: Yes
