Once you have done your shopping, just how long will it be until you can get your hands on your cakey bakey goods? We know you just want to get baking and decorating straight away, so we're offering various options.
Sugar and Crumbs want to offer you the best delivery experience possible, however, we can only do this with your help. Please ensure you choose the correct option for you. Please take into account your postcode, not all postcodes will be offered a next day service, See Exclusion List below. Also, ensure you give the full address correctly if your business is a home address, just use the home address, do not use the business name, this causes confusions with drivers as they are looking for business property.
Whilst we give you estimated time frames we do note that our couriers usually deliver quicker than stated, however so you're not disappointed we prefer to give you the longest time frame.
Currently, next day deliveries are not available for Hermes via our website, we have now changed this to Priority Picking, this means your order will go to the top of the queue, be dispatched and with you within 2-3 working days (Monday to Friday).
Whilst all couriers are doing their best to deliver on time this is not always possible, with new rules and regulations deliveries could be delayed, therefore we ask you to bear this in mind when placing your orders. We have disabled Hermes Next Day and replaced it with Priority Picking. We still offer DPD as a Next Day Option however please take into account the new regulations as there could be delays. DPD deliveries are only available on weekdays (no weekend delivery available)
Click and Collect Service from our Warehouse - This is an option you can choose at checkout to collect directly from our warehouse however, you can only collect between 8 am and 4 pm Monday - Friday. Please call our office on 0161 393 5056 to book in your collection time after placing your order. Please be aware we are observing full social distancing regulations to protect our staff, our customers and the businesses that are open on the same premises. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR ORDER IS NOT COLLECTED WITHIN 10 WORKING DAYS, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RE-ALLOCATE THE PRODUCTS BACK IN STOCK AND TO ISSUE YOU WITH A REFUND UPON REQUEST.
DPD and HERMES are global companies these are our preferred courier services. We work with our couriers to get your goods to your doorstep as soon as we can. Although the vast majority of our customers will get their orders within the actual timeframes, they may vary from region to region. Please, bear in mind if the courier has to cross the waters or hike over the mountains, find difficult locations not so easily accessible, then your parcel may take a little longer to arrive:-)
Currently NOT available:- NEXT Working Day (Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and exclusions*) 98% of Next Working Day deliveries do arrive safely although not guaranteed. Although our couriers work hard to get to you, even they face everyday life issues which could cause a delay to your order. Please, bear in mind if you are planning that most important cake, then prepares to have everything in stock early, it will save a lot of stress:-).
Preparation is key, if you have a cake order, ensure you have all ingredients, packaging and anything else you need at least one week before, being organised will ensure you are stress-free when you come to make your beautiful cake. Orders must be placed before 1.30 pm to be shipped for next working day delivery Monday to Friday.
We are closed Saturday and Sundays, therefore any orders after 1.30 pm on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday unless it's a bank holiday it will then be dispatched on the next working day of that week.
Signature - We are all fully aware the signature is never like your own, please note the courier accepts this as your signature and your parcel has been signed for and delivered. The Drivers have GPS trackers on their vehicles therefore they can confirm they were at your location with a signature via GPS. Covid-19 Signature this is the signature of the courier, this is the accepted signature for all couriers - this means your parcel has been delivered. Any claim will have to be with the couriers direct.
We cannot replace signed for parcels.
Attempted deliveries if you are not in to sign for your parcel it will be taken away, they will try to deliver 3 times in total, then it is returned to our warehouse, returns can take up to 8 weeks. Upon return we can dispatch again however, you will have to pay for a new delivery or we can refund less handling fee of £10 plus any postage cost if your order was free delivery.
What is a handling fee? This for returned parcels, we have to check the parcel is complete, restock all items, notify you the parcel has returned, we have to take into account the original dispatch, the cost and time involved for the whole process. Hence the handling fee will be £10 GBP.
IMPORTANT it is your (the customers) responsibility to supply the full and correct shipping address, orders will be sent to addresses as supplied by you (the customer). We will always try our best to accommodate any amendments to addresses however this cannot always be met due to timescales of dispatch and processing by us to the courier.
You will be liable for the cost of us re-sending the goods if the parcel is returned to us due to incorrect or insufficient address details. Failure to comply with these charges will result in the order being cancelled and refunded; original postage costs will not be returned. Parcels will only be resent once the charges have been met.

Whilst the next working day delivery is successful on the majority of occasions, exceptional circumstances can occur whereby the parcel is not delivered on time. If you are concerned about your delivery, you can always contact us.
Certain times of the year are classed as peak periods, November to mid-January are these periods including all bank holidays, therefore your order may be delayed for delivery including next working day deliveries these are all beyond anyone's control.
