Silver Spoon Royal Icing Sugar 500g allows you to create perfect royal icing. It is ideal for decorating Christmas and wedding cakes.

Method:

1. Put 35ml of the water into a deep bowl and carefully add the royal icing sugar.

2. Start mixing slowly and then gradually increase to a higher speed, adding the remaining water until you reach the desired consistency. Beat until the icing stands in soft peaks.

3. Apply the icing to your cake in a thick layer, using a palette knife, and leave to harden overnight in a cool dry place.

4. This will make enough to ice an 8″ cake. Royal icing is also great for cupcakes, biscuits and finger buns.

To make thick Royal Icing mix 500g Royal Icing Sugar with 70ml of cold water. – Start mixing slowly and then gradually increase to a higher speed on your mixer adding the remaining water until you reached the desired consistency.

    A great staple for cake decorating. Saves making large batches of royal icing. Strong enough to secure stacked cakes and if makes a strong glue for securing decorations to covered cakes. Great when you only require small amounts if royal icing.
