Silverspoon Royal Icing Sugar 500g

Silverspoon Royal Icing Sugar 500g allows you to create perfect royal icing. It is ideal for decorating Christmas and wedding cakes.

In addition, Silver Spoon has added dried egg whites to their Royal Icing Sugar recipe to give a traditional hard finish. It's super ideal for piping and creating soft peaks, decorating and dusting.

Method:

1. Put 35ml of the water into a deep bowl and carefully add the royal icing sugar.

2. Start mixing slowly and then gradually increase to a higher speed, adding the remaining water until you reach the desired consistency. Beat until the icing stands in soft peaks.

3. Apply the icing to your cake in a thick layer, using a palette knife and leave to harden over night in a cool dry place.

4. This will make enough to ice an 8" cake. Royal icing is also great for cupcakes, biscuits and finger buns.
