This Fluffy Pancakes – Just Flavour recipe is a real family favourite in my house! Perfect for easy weekend breakfasts and even saving a few for another day!
I am using Salted Caramel Just Flavour as it’s a big hit with my daughter and means she’s really happy to east them without syrup and with just a little butter. This recipe is great made in any of the other flavours too! take a look at the full Just Flavour range here!
Ingredients
- 240g Plain flour
- 2tbsp caster sugar
- 1tsp Just Flavour
- 4tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- pinch salt (optional)
- 415ml semi skimmed milk
- 2 lg eggs
- Vegetable oil to grease the pan
Method
- Combine the flour, baking powder, bicarb, Just Flavour, salt and sugar, using a whisk to mix.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and add in the wet ingredients. use a whisk to mix until combined. the mixture should look thick, lumpy and a little bubbly. If you think your mixture is a little too thick you can add a little more milk.
- Set the pancake batter aside while you heat up the pan over a medium heat.
- Use kitchen paper with a little vegetable oil to prepare the pan.
- Ladle the batter into the hot pan. Ween you see bubbles rising to the surface of the batter and popping, it’s time to flip them over.
- Cook on the other side for 30 seconds to a minute. They should be a golden brown colour.
- Place the cooked pancakes onto a plate lined with kitchen paper.
- Continue this process, wiping the pan with oil between each batch, until all the batter is used.
- Serve warm with butter, syrup, or fresh fruit.
Pancakes will last a couple of days in an airtight container. Reheat with 10-20 seconds in the microwave or in the toaster. Pancakes are also suitable for freezing. Defrost completely before reheating in the microwave or toaster.
