Microwave Caramels are a sweet confectionary. Made by cooking in the microwave for 6 minutes it couldn’t be easier to make. Perfect to make for your self or to gift. Try making with any of Sugar and Crumbs Natural Flavoured Icing Sugar.

Ingredients
- 115g Unsalted Butter (Melted)
- 100g Sugar and Crumbs Natural Flavoured Icing Sugar ( Flavour of your Choice )
- 100g Light Brown Sugar
- 155g Condensed Milk
- 100g Golden Syrup or Corn Syrup
- Sea Salt if using ( Goes well with Salted Caramel/Velvet Vanilla )
Method:
- Microwave Caramels is an all in one recipe, add all the ingredients together in a microwave safe bowl starting with the butter first, mix everything together with a spoon until its incorporated.
- Place in the microwave and heat for 2 minutes on 900c. When the times up stir the caramel mixture. Place back in the microwave for a further 2 minutes but keep an eye on it incase it rises too high you will need to give it another stir before the remaining time.
- Repeat for 2 more minutes. Stir and then drop a small amount in a glass of ice cold water, it should hold its shape and not be too soft. If its not return to the microwave for another 30 secs at a time, then repeat the test.
- Have a 8x8inch tin ready by greasing with butter and then placing parchement paper inside.
- when the mixture is ready pour it into the prepared tin and then leave for a few minutes before adding the sea salt if using.
- Leave to firm on the side for a few hours and then use a pizza cutter or sharpe knife to chop into indiviual caramels.
- Wrap each caramel in small parchment pieces that cover the caramel and tie up at the sides.
